2022 EMPLOYMENT SCAM LAMBAST OYETOLA: SAYS HE DIDN'T MEAN WELL, THEY COLLECTED N30,000 BEFORE ISSUING US LETTERS.
Osogbo, January 22, 2026.
One of the aspirants who aspired to be recruited into Osun State employment by Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola at the twilight of his administration in 2022 has lambasted the former governor for not being sincere with his acclaimed employments few months to the expiration of his tenure.
Mr. Hammed Taye Jamiu on his Facebook page called out Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola for deliberately creating unnecessary logjam in the employment package for the Government of Senator Ademola Adeleke with a view to burdening the incoming government financially.
In his narration, Mr. Hammer Taye Jamiu wrote:
"The claim by this dubious chairmen that Adeleke government has sacked over 1,500 teachers (was mere blackmail). Emphasis mine in parenthesis.
"I was among the sacked teachers by executive order, we've applied for the recruitment exercise since early 2019 when he, (Governor Oyetola) announced the commencement."
"We purchased e-pin for 3k and after some months, we sat for the examination. Meanwhile, we did interview 2020 and immediately of (sic) after the interview exercise, he appointed 1,000 teacher (sic) and left aside 1,500.
According to Mr. Hammed Taye Jamiu, the employees were taxed N30,000 each before they were given employment letters by the Oyetola administration, he stressed further
'So later 2022, when he knows (sic) he had lost election to this present administration, he then called us to recieve our appointment letters of which we paid 30k before we received the letter. If truly he means (sic) welll for us, he should at least pay us 2months salary before he handed over to present administration.
The furious Hammed Taye Jamiu said that Alhaji "Gboyega Oyetola and APC are scams."
One wonders where the integrity among the APC and their government the integrity they have been singing about. Knowing fully well that they didn't want to give the poor applicants jobs, they still went ahead and ripped them off of their hard earned scarce money.
