Exit of a Giant: Ife North Local Government Mourns Death of Hon. Kayode Taiwo.

Osogbo, September 13, 2025.

The death has just been announced of our amiable leader and brother, Hon. Kayode Taiwo which event occured in the early hours of Saturday September 13, 2025.

According to a message sent out by Deputy Speaker of Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abidemi Akinyode Oyewusi which was made available to the media, Hon. Kayode Taiwo left this sinful world for eternity after a brief illness.

In his words Rt. Hon. Oyewusi wrote "I received with deep sorrow the news of the passing of Hon. Kayode Taiwo, former Caretaker Chairman of Ife North Local Government. 

"His demise is a great loss, not only to his immediate family, but also to our great party and the entire Ife North community.

"Hon. Taiwo was a towering figure whose selfless service and commitment to the progress of Ife North left lasting legacies. His departure has created a vacuum that will be deeply felt in our political family and beyond.

"I extend my heartfelt condolences to Kabiyesi Alakinlalu, the people of Akinlalu, the PDP family in Ife North, and the immediate and extended families of our departed leader.

"May the Almighty grant us the strength to bear this painful loss, and may His comfort abide with the bereaved. Though Hon. Taiwo is gone, his vision for the unity and progress of Ife North will continue to guide us.

"Farewell, our leader.
