RE: Oluwole Oke's U.S Legislative Training For 15 Osun Lawmakers
Osogbo, July 27, 2025.
The recent rumour that has been sponsored by the rejected and restless APC lawmaker, Oluwole Oke, which suggested that he is sending members of the Osun State House of Assembly to the U.S for legislative training is not only hypocritical but confirmed lack of good reasoning from those behind it.
The Wole Oke who has spent 22 years as an House member at the floor of the National Assembly, and who has no record of sponsoring even a single constituent for life-changing opportunities within Nigeria, is now presumed to offer such a "gift" to the very legislators who represent the people he neglected.
It is utterly delusional for anyone to believe that the distinguished members of the Osun State House of Assembly would fall for Mr Wole's cheap bait. The 25 (Twenty Five) members of the PDP under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun in this assembly are dedicated public servants who are committed to their constituents and to the progress of Osun State. They have collectively chosen to prioritise the needs of the people over any self-serving agenda.
Wole Oke's recruitment efforts in the assembly have failed miserably. If he is a pragmatic politician, he would have recognised that attempting to lure members with promises only exposes his desperation. Instead of focusing on genuine service, he seems determined to perpetuate a cycle of manipulation and deceit.
Let it be unequivocally clear: your Greek gift will not be welcomed here. The members of the Osun State House of Assembly are not for sale. They stand united in their commitment to work for the betterment of their constituencies and to uphold the values of accountability and integrity. Your continued disregard for this reality only underscores your disconnect from the very essence of true leadership.
I will advise you to abandon this misguided initiative and reflect on how you can genuinely serve your constituents rather than this your desperate attempt to impress, your boss, Minister Oyetola.
The members of the public are hereby enjoined to disregard the rumour in its entirety. The twenty-five People's Democratic Party members at the 8th Osun State House of Assembly are resolute in their commitment not to betray the mandate entrusted on them by the people. They will continue to support the performing governor, HE, Sen. Ademola Jacksin Nurudeen Adeleke in his developmental programmes for the citizenry in Osun State.
Signed:
Olamide Tiamiyu,
Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, OSHA.
