Osogbo, July 24, 2022.

Dr. Majeed Adewale Salami, a prominent stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from Ilawo, Ejigbo, in the Ejigbo Local Government Area of Osun State, has reaffirmed his total commitment and unwavering loyalty to His Excellency, Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke.

In a statement made available to journalists today from his country home in Ilawo-Ejigbo, Dr. Salami commended the governor for his giant strides across all sectors in Osun State, particularly the unprecedented transformation in infrastructure, health, and social development.

Dr. Salami specifically highlighted several road construction projects in his local government area, such as the Orita Court to Ika-Orangun Road, Gbanko to Gaa Road, and the Awo to Aato-Ejigbo Road. He also expressed satisfaction with ongoing work on the two major roads connecting Ejigbo to Oyo State, namely, the Ejigbo-Ilawo to Ola-Oluwa Local Government Road and Ejigbo to Isoko, Aye, and Oguro Roads.

According to Dr. Salami, Governor Adeleke has turned Osun State into a massive construction site, with visible developmental projects across all 30 local government areas and the Area Office in Modakeke. He applauded the governor for delivering the first-ever iconic 14-span flyover in Ile-Ife, the cradle of the Yoruba race, a project that has given the ancient city a modern facelift. He also praised the construction of a similar flyover at the Oke Fia–Lameco axis in Osogbo, describing it as the first time the state capital has attained the physical outlook of a true capital city.

Dr. Salami further noted the construction of the first dual carriageway in Ilesa, the first of its kind in Ijesaland in over 500 years as well as the completion of over 250 kilometers of roads across the state, all executed without borrowing.

On the health front, he commended the dramatic transformation of the sector through the comprehensive renovation of over 200 Primary Health Centres, now equipped with world-class medical equipment. He noted that this outstanding achievement attracted international recognition and a $500 million award from foreign partners a clear testament to the efficiency and global appeal of Governor Adeleke's administration.

> “In just three years, Osun State has breathed a new breath. The achievements recorded under Governor Adeleke's administration are bold, visible, and unprecedented,” Dr. Salami stated.

He went on to declare:

"The PDP is the party to beat in Osun State. Never again shall we return to the era of stagnation witnessed under the APC-led government of Mr. Gboyega Oyetola, which left behind no meaningful legacy after four years in power.”

Speaking on behalf of himself, his family, and his teeming supporters across the four local governments that make up the Ede Federal Constituency, Dr. Salami reaffirmed their unflinching support and loyalty to the PDP and Governor Ademola Adeleke.

"We pledge our total support to His Excellency, Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, and we stand firmly with him and the PDP till 2030,” he declared

Dr. Salami also announced the forthcoming launch of the Transformer Grassroots Mobilizer Team across the four local governments in the Ede Federal Constituency. He revealed that branded materials—such as T-shirts, billboards, caps, and Sienna buses—would be donated to support the governor's second-term re-election bid.

"Let the good work continue in Osun State,” Dr. Salami concluded.
