Ede, June 6, 2025.

As Muslims across the globe mark the sacred celebration of Eid al-Adha, also known as Eid-Kabir, the President of Adeleke Women of Substance (Home and Abroad), Chief (Dr) Mrs. Modupeola Adeleke-Sanni, has extended heartfelt felicitations to the good people of Osun State and to all Nigerians at home and in the diaspora.

In a goodwill message signed personally by the distinguished matriarch and philanthropist, Yeyeluwa of Edeland, Mrs Adeleke-Sanni, prayed that the blessings of the holy season would fill hearts with joy, homes with peace and the nation with lasting prosperity.

"Eid-Kabir is a time of devotion, sacrifice and reflection on the virtues of faith, obedience and compassion. I wish every member of the Adeleke Women of Substance and every Nigerian a joyous and peaceful Eid celebration. May our sacrifices be accepted and may our homes overflow with Allah’s mercy and grace."

Quoting the Holy Qur’an, Chief Adeleke-Sanni cited Surah Al-Hajj (22:37): "It is neither their meat nor their blood that reaches Allah, but it is piety from you that reaches Him.

She urged Muslims to embrace the essence of the celebration by showing love to their neighbours and extending hands of fellowship to the less privileged. Known for her commitment to humanitarian causes, the Yeyeluwa of Edeland called for national unity and spiritual renewal, saying:

"Now more than ever, we must come together, heart and soul, as one people under God. Nigeria is our common heritage and it is only through shared sacrifice, patience and love that we can build the country of our dreams."

She concluded by wishing every Nigerian a celebration full of laughter, answered prayers and divine elevation.
