Aare Asejere Pays Tribute to Late Otunba Dr. Felix Obada, Comforts Chief Mrs Erelu Obada and Family.

Osogbo, June 12, 2025.

 The Honourable Commissioner for Rural Development and Community Affairs in Osun State, Aare Ganiyu Ayobami Olaoluwa Asejere, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Otunba Dr. Felix Babatunde Obada, a respected technocrat and the devoted husband of former Deputy Governor and Minister, Her Excellency Yeye Erelu Olusola Obada.

In a heartfelt condolence message issued in Osogbo, Aare Asejere described the late Otunba Obada as “a man whose quiet strength and unwavering commitment to national progress left indelible marks in both the public and private sectors.”

“Otunba Dr. Obada was not only a pillar of support to our dear Mama Erelu,” Aare Asejere noted, “but also a man of vision and service, whose dedication to excellence and integrity reflected in all his endeavors, from his days at the NNPC to his leadership in the tech-driven public service transformation space.”

Aare Asejere extended heartfelt condolences to Her Excellency Yeye Erelu Obada, the children, and the extended family, praying for divine comfort and strength in this season of grief.

“As a state and as a people, we feel the weight of this loss,” he said. “We celebrate Otunba Obada’s life, defined by humility, intellect, and patriotism. His memory will continue to inspire those of us in public service to lead with conscience and compassion.”

He concluded by praying for the peaceful repose of the departed elder and enjoined all who knew him to uphold the values he represented.

May his soul rest in perfect peace.
