Get Healthy Africa Initiative" (GHAI) gave Governor Ademola Adeleke Award of recognition, Honours S.A. on Public Health, Dr. Akindele Adekunle.

The "Get Healthy Africa Initiative" (GHAI) on Monday presents an Award of Excellence to Governor Ademola Adeleke in recognition of his social drive and development agenda in the state. 

The award was received on behalf of the Governor by the Special Adviser on Public Health to the Governor, Dr Akindele Adekunle, at his office in Abeere today. 

The organisation led by their Team Lead, Faysol Oluwakemi also honoured Dr Akindele Adekunle for his contributions to the health sector in the state and equally representing the Governor at the "Change Champion Initiative" conference held recently in Osogbo, the state capital.

It will be recalled that Dr. Akindele Adekunle is the Chairman of the Committee that is responsible for the Primary Healthcare Centres' renovation acriss Osun State.

The team that has renovated and upgraded hundreds of Primary Health Care facilities which earned Osun State the winner of the Primary Health Centre upgrade in the South West with a bountiful prize of $500,000 in December, 2024, beating Lagos State to earn the first prize in the quoted uear. 

Dr. Akindele Adekunle also ensured that all upgraded facilities were equipped with Solar Powered Motorized Boreholes and full lighting facilities in compliance with the WHO standard which has turned the Health Facilities in the rural areas into a haven of patronage by the people of Osun State.
