Olorunda local government ongoing council campaign gained momentum as the Chairman of the Olorunda Council Campaign Committee, Alhaji Ganiyu Ayobami Olaoluwa Asejere, led the campaign team to Ward 03, Arikalamu in Olorunda Local Area. Joined by party candidates, stalwarts, and other political functionaries under the leadership of Party Chairman Hon. Hamzat Nurudeen Ademola Otitokoro, the team visited key locations including Arikalamu Mosque and Irerinde Olubi.
The campaign was warmly welcomed by the Islamic leaders of Arikalamu Mosque, led by Chief Imam Alhaji Gazali Raji Arikalamu, who openly endorsed Hon. Obafemi Kolade for Olorunda Chairmanship and Hon. Lukman Alatise for Ward 03 Councilorship. Asejere's longstanding commitment to the grassroots earned him special prayers from the clerics, with Hon. Kolade and Hon. Alatise receiving blessings as well.
At Irerinde Olubi, residents turned out in large numbers to show their support. Speaking at the rally, Asejere emphasized Governor Ademola Adeleke’s impactful contributions, citing the ongoing roadworks in Ward 03, the dualization of major routes in Osogbo, and flyover constructions. He noted that each local government is benefitting from a 1.5km road infrastructure project and also solar street light installation to main roads across the state. Additionally, he praised the governor's nearly thousand micro-projects, including school renovations, health center upgrades, borehole installations, and provision of transformers across Osun State. Asejere urged residents to support the governor's second term, then handed over the party flag to Chairmanship candidate Hon. Femi Kolade and Ward 03 candidate Hon. Lukman Alatise.
Notable attendees included Pharm Elder Funsho, Hon. Olaide Ajibola, Hon. Ademola Hamzat Nurudeen, Hon. Nathaniel Ojetola, Hon. Rafiu Fashola, Alhaji Mustapha Sikiru, along with all local executives, ward chairmen, councilorship candidates, and political appointees, all showing steadfast commitment to the party’s vision.
Closing the rally, Hon. Kolade expressed optimism for the future, pledging sustainable grassroots development if elected. Both he and Hon. Alatise extended gratitude to party leaders and supporters for their dedication to the campaign’s success.
