Osun West Senator Oyewumi Receives Outstanding Senator's Award.

The Senator representing Osun West Senatorial District, Akogun Lere Oyewumi PhD, has been honored with the "Outstanding Senator of the Year Award" in recognition of his dedication to people-oriented legislative duties.


At the 2024 Osun State Broadcasting Corporation (OSBC) Radio News and Current Affairs yearly program, the Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate was celebrated for his legislative efforts that have significantly impacted the Osun West Senatorial District. 


The award highlights his commitment to addressing the needs and concerns of his constituents through effective legislation and community development initiatives.

In his absence, the immediate past Chairman of Irewole Local Government, Hon. Babajide Jooda, represented Senator Oyewumi at the event to receive the prestigious award. Accompanying him at the venue were notable figures including former Irewole North LCDA Chairman Alh. Kola Akinpelu, Irewole PDP Chairman Alh. Basiru Ogundele, Iwo PDP Chairman Alh. Alidu Tiamiyu, SLA to the Deputy Senate President Dr. Olayanju Aderele, and Hon. Niyi Odeyemi, among other supporters of the Senator.


The award ceremony underscored Senator Oyewumi's unwavering dedication to his constituents and his role in fostering development across the Osun West Senatorial District. His legislative achievements and commitment to public service continue to set a benchmark for excellence in governance.
