HAPPY 2023 DEMOCRACY DAY MY CONSTITUENTS. 

I will ensure equitable distribution of dividends of democracy to all. - Sanya Omirin 

The Honourable-Elect from Ijesa South Federal Constituency of Osun State has promised people of his constituency equitable distribution of the dividends of democracy across the entire four local government areas of the Conference district without ignoring any area.

Hon. Omirin made this assertion today on the occasion of the Democracy Day Celebration of June 12 which was released to the media.

In his words, Hon. Omirin said  "Today marks 24 years of unbroken democratic journey in Nigeria since our return to civil rule in 1999."

"It has been a great experience as the democratic experience has offered our people more opportunities to participate actively in governance and thereby contribute to the advancement of the society."

"I must commend you for the love and spirit you all showed to democracy because this has brought more unity to us as a nation irrespective of our religious, tribal and ideological differences. 

"I beseech you to continue living with People in peace and harmony so that more dividends of democracy we are all yearning for will reach every nooks and crannies of our societies."

"I want to assure you again that I understand and know the diversity of our society in Ijesa South Federal Constituency and with my track records and past political engagements that are not hidden to you."

"By this I promise you that I will ensure equitable distribution of dividends of democracy to all nooks and crannies of Ijesa South without leaving any community unattended to."

"Let me also commend  those who have served as president of this great nation since 1999 till date for not allowing their personal interest to truncate our democracy that we all fought for since all these while, because the worst democracy is far better than the best military government."

As a people, we seek a Nigeria that is just and fair to all her citizens in tune with the tenets of democratic rules. We hope to see a more peaceful and united country in years to come as we strive together to build an enduring democracy."
